In the dry mix category, I enjoy Pamela's Bread Mix. Honestly, we have been really happy with all the Pamela's products we've tried, including Pamela's Artisan Flour Blend and Pamela's Baking and Pancake Mix. We used the latter in donut holes made from a recipe on Pamela's website.
We used to bake with Bob's Red Mill products, but we didn't like the flavor of the bean flour. We mainly use Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix for pizza (Read more about the mix, including a dough hack here.)
UPDATE: we never stopped loving Pamela's products, but we stopped shopping at Sam's Club and switched to Costco, so now we use Namaste flour.
Regarding made-from-scratch recipes, the blue ribbon goes to Oat Baguette Bread. We have not played around with this category as much because we don't have the time, fancy flour, or budget for said flour. Even with the Oat Baguette Bread, we changed the recipe to replace psyllium husk powder (which we didn't have) for chia seeds, and we used Pamela's Artisan Flour Blend.
We've also wrapped the Oat Baguette Bread dough around hot dogs for pigs in blankets. Speaking of pigs in blankets, we've also used our scratch buttermilk biscuits as the dough blanket.
All the breads are dairy free, and creatively sweetened. The cinnamon raisin bread has raisins and organic agave syrup. Pamela's Bread Mix has natural evaporated cane sugar, inulin, molasses, and honey. The Oat Baguette Bread has honey. (Note that some of the Pamela's products are not dairy free.)
I'd love to hear about your favorite (and not-so-favorite) gluten free products, so I know what to buy and what to skip. While I'm on the subject, we also enjoy Van's gluten free "Say Cheese" cheddar crackers, as well as Perfect 10 crackers. (Blue Diamond Nut Thins were not a hit.)
